Wishlist

Ah yes, the scourge of Buddhists and critics of consumerism alike: gifts. Obviously no guest or invitee to our wedding celebration should feel any obligation to give us a gift - your presence at our wedding would be the greatest gift, and barring that, a toast together once we have the opportunity to see you in person would more than suffice.

That said, many of you have come to us, asking, nay, pleading! for us to provide a list of gifts we might like for the wedding. This was actually no simple task for us! We're very lucky to be chained to the yolk of many objects and their earthly tethers. However, through thorough wringing of the cloth of our desire, we were able to come up with the following list.

Our wedding wishlist contains 8 items. They are all quite expensive, and we do not expect anyone to purchase any of them in their entirety. That's why we've arranged a PayPal link for each item, via which you can contribute any amount that would go towards the purchase of that particular wishlist item. The default amount is 100 USD, but you can change that value to any amount that you would like to contribute. You can either contribute using your own PayPal account, or with a credit card. We will then receive your contribution, and put it towards the purchase of that particular wishlist item! This system allows us to include a number of items smaller than the number of invitees, but to which there is nonetheless ample opportunity to contribute. Furthermore, given our geographic distribution, and the fact that the wedding takes place away from all of our homes, this allows guests who would like to provide a wedding gift to do so in way that doesn't require them to transport items, or pay international shipping costs.

As we receive contributions, the contribution bar beneath each item will be updated with the amount contributed of the total cost of the item. Once the full price of an item has been contributed, that item will be indicated as PURCHASED, allowing other invitees interested in providing a wedding gift to contribute to other items.

If you have any questions about our wishlist or the contribution process, please don't hesitate to contact us! Of course, if you'd like to give us a wedding gift that is not on the list, or contribute in some other way, we would also be happy to receive your generosity as such! This list was created simply as a service to the many invitees who have requested that we create it, but it is by no means the only way to provide us with a wedding gift.

And finally, we reiterate that NO WEDDING GIFTS ARE EXPECTED OR NECESSARY. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in Procida, and if not, to celebrating with you in your own hometowns and time zones when we see you next in person.
